Last Chance Sept 11-14

Spent 3 days out near last chance bay searching for boils and topwater action. The early morning topwater fishing was good. A lot of small stripers and smallmouth in the shallows in the back of the coves early morning and late evenings and along the rocky points near last chance bay. Finding boils was much harder. We cruised up to rock creek the first morning early and did not encounter any real surface activity from schooling stripers. In fact we never encountered more than an occasional splash during the three days we were out on the water. The best striper activity we could find was in the shallow water near camp late in the evening and very early in the morning.

We tried cruising along the main channel very early without success. We also sat out on the bay early and latte scanning the surface with our binoculars but did not find much activity. Still we had a great time with the topwater action along the shore and shallower water points.
