I call this one Pinnacle Rock. Years ago this was a canyon wall. Then the rocks fell and this Pinnacle was the only thing left standing. The location is the San Juan arm just before entering Cha Bay.
Castle butte is in GHB, and Castle Rock is in Wahweap bay.Is it Castle Rock or Castle Butte? I can't remember.
Likely an omen, warning all to stay away from that treacherous locale.......Then the rocks fell and this Pinnacle was the only thing left standing.
I honestly don't know either, but I think it was in Labyrinth at these coordinates: 37.00286004831289, -111.28715835939644Being a north ender I’m not sure which one that is. But it is a great picture!
Pretty sure that one is Boundary Butte, which separates Labyrinth and Face canyons......I honestly don't know either, but I think it was in Labyrinth at these coordinates: 37.00286004831289, -111.28715835939644
Definitely one of my favorite formations. I have watched it decrease in size over the yearsI call this one Pinnacle Rock. Years ago this was a canyon wall. Then the rocks fell and this Pinnacle was the only thing left standing. The location is the San Juan arm just before entering Cha Bay.
Couldn’t remember which one because (thankfully) you post SO MANY great hikes now on my bucket list…this one is Hidden Passage as noted in this thread:Here's one of my favorite rock formations at Powell... I posted this one a while ago in a different thread, but I'll let you guess the location...
