The Lake Powell fishing family, the Wordlings as we like to call ourselves, is a good bunch. We hope we can all get to know you and you us. Wayne built what we have here and he is the one most responsible for Powell being the fishery it is. I, for one, am happy to see that you have had a lot of fishing experience on Lake Powell for many years and understand what the lake means to all of us. We come from a lot of different backgrounds and parts of the country, but Powell is a tremendous common thread for us all. We happy to have you in the family! :D

Well said Ed, I like that quote that goes something like most of the worlds problems could be solved if leaders could spend a few days together in a boat, fishing, talking. I really look forward to getting to know the "Wordlings" 😀 Thanks for the Welcome!

Congratulations on your new assignment. It really couldn't come at a better time when the lake is undergoing major changes. When it refills you will get to observe and study that just as Wayne did (I think optimism is good too).

@Dan Keller congratulations on the new role. I’m sure it comes with some challenges but from the outside it seems like it must be to be one of the best jobs in the world!

It’s good to see you active here as well. One of the traits I most admire about Wayne is his transparency with what his plans were for the lake. I wish more stewards had that same method.

Anyway, I hope to meet you in person at some point. Good luck to you in the new role, and Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Congrats and Welcome Dan!!!

You do indeed have HUGE shoes to fill, but your intro, bio, and Wayne's words about you suggest that you will fit right in!!

Ohhh, and your pics of giant pigs you've caught on our beautiful lake, do a lot to bolster your resume` as well... some impressive specimens there for sure!!!

Look forward to meeting you someday!

Rick, classic movie, its not the first time I have been called Lt. Dan, in fact I was a Sergeant in the Army, not a Lt, however while stationed at Baghdad International Airport I was able to attend a few USU shows, one of my favorite was meeting Gary Sinise, aka Lt. Dan, (awesome guy) when I came back to base with a picture of Lt. Dan some of my buddies naturally called me Lt. Dan for awhile, Ha
That is so awesome. Thank you for your service to our great Country!!

Thank for your service to come at Lake Powell!!
