At Lake Powell’s high water mark, which hasn’t been under water in over 20 years, dozens of plants, insects and wildlife have been gradually settling back in.
Interesting... a few items not mentioned, oh well, seems to be very one sided as usual. The comment about killing all life in the canyon, yet they were seeing new life back in the same areas, seems to me that Mother Nature is a little more resilient than they give it credit for.
The soils are so erodable, you can seen some of the "bathtub ring" looks like the natural rock in places. Ain't gonna' take long to recover in the grand scheme of things.
Geologists estimate the Colorado River was dammed more than a dozen times between 1.8 million and 400,000 years ago. These dams were up to 2,000 feet high and created reservoirs much bigger than LP. We are blip in history....
