Leaving Wahweap this weekend heading towards Blythe.
Usually take the 40 to the AZ 95 or the CA 95 to Blythe.
Anyone know how the 93 from Kingman to Aguila would be towing a 5th wheel compared to 95?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks Waterbaby,i have never been on 93,do you know how the road is for towing a 5th wheel?

The 93 is in good shape with a few hills, most of the road is a one lane with a lot of cars passing(allot of trucks use this road). This is the main road from Phoenix to Las Vegas or Laughlin and is very busy( in a rush to get to the casinos or home. This road was very well known as a dangers road but has gotten a lot better. Also known for a lot of drunk drivers on this road. The only services are Wikieup tell you get to Wickenburg(if you go to Wickenburg there is a gas station with a Dairy Queen that we stop at allot just as you enter Wickenburg). You will be fine on the 93 just be ready to get passed allot. From Wickenburg to I-10 is a good road.

Ron O live in palm springs area and have taken every route - take a look at using I-17 down to the new 303 and then the 60 back up to Aguila I am pretty sure it is shorter and way less '2 lane time'........................rick traffic should not be bad until Monday on the 17

If you take I-17 on Monday be prepared for an accident and a large backup. It's not if there is an accident it is when will it happen. If you are going to Blythe take the I-17 to 303 to the I-10. If you are going to Agulia then I-17 to New river Road to the 74 then to Wickenburg.

Just stay out of Phoenix to much highway road work in town!!!

ADOT is changing the speed limit on the 17 from sunset down to new river to 55MPH for the next week because of past accidents, just an FYI

Bottom line is on Memorial Day weekend none of our roads are safe.. too many crazy drivers drinking and/or in a hurry out there. Drive defensively and with your head on swivel. I read ADOT just got some funding to widen more of 93 - considering so many in this part of the State use it to travel to Phoenix it should have been widened long ago - both it and 95 are heavily-used and marginal roads.

Will be on the road today to avoid the Monday traffic.I have been on all of the routes mentioned
above except the 93 route.
Thanks to all for the replies!

The split part of the 93 is great. It would be great and a lot safer if they could split the entire highway.

I agree. We really need it. So many bad accidents on that stretch of highway. I didn't see 95 mentioned in the ADOT plans, but 93 was on the priority list. 95 into Havasu from 40 isn't bad, though we've had too many fatalities from people crossing the center line - in the four lane sections! But from Havasu to Havasu Springs is too narrow, too hard to pass safely and heavily traveled year round. It desperately needs work.
