Houseboat beaches in Last Chance?

We were thinking of venturing a little farther out from Wahweap this week with the houseboat. What is your experience with finding good beaches in Last Chance? Should we try the South side instead? Say Face or West canyons?
 
There were (lake rising rapidly) some really fine houseboat sites on both sides of the canyon mid way into Last Chance. It is well worth the look.
 
There is a beautiful beach in a hidden secluded cove just a few miles uplake from Last Chance immediately after Neanderthal on the south side. There is actually a fence visible on the north side of the entrance to the cove. Never figured out what that fence could possibly be for but it's there about 75 feet up and about 40 feet long.

Thanks Birdsnest. We will definitely check this one out as well
 
We were in West Canyon yesterday. There are a couple of very nice sandy beaches near the mouth, but they were taken. Further in there are a handful of rock "beaches" that look like a really nice anchorage if your bow is sufficiently reinforced. Most of these were occupied yesterday, but a few were available.
