Since I was opining for a day when a lot more people boat camped or got out in smaller simpler craft I thought I’d go further.
I too have a modern monohull super comfy boat with a nearly silent water cooled computer controlled generator and great AC. Don’t get me wrong, I like the room and creature comforts but how much is just too much? I think we are getting close to it these days with the biggest boats.
The restro-mod fifty foot 87 Boatel I built almost a decade ago had marine AC and new modern fuel Injected motors and eventually aluminum pontoons. It was very comfortable and reliable and I liked the smaller minimalist nature of that boat. Somedays I regret selling it. Although it was comfortable it was a little shy on space.
Maybe something like this should be my next project? Old Boatels are everywhere, Boatel Super Boat. Funny
