Last month hubby and I turned down the road near the airport and followed the road to the Fortress for some exploration. He wanted to view the site of old Lake Pagarit. Instead of entering the canyon and hiking to our destination he led me on a "shortcut" that turned out to be a slow go through downed tree limbs, creeks and bramble. We aborted this path and climbed up onto the slickrock and walked to where we could see the site in the distance. On our return route we hiked along the rim of the canyon knowing there were anazazi ruins below but not able to see them and not even knowing where they were located. Has anyone been in the canyon to view the ruins or know of anyone who has been? Curious to know where exactly they are located and what condition they are in. Thanks!
