We' re are shore camping , usually go to Gregary Butte area , anyone have any information on fishing around there ? Have seen lots of reports up north but nothing down here. Mabye the San juan who knows. We'll report when we get back.

Fished the San Juan 2 weeks ago and coffee tube jigs in 15-30ft were the ticket. On our way out there was a tournament and 5 guys fishing the Butte right off the main channel so I would expect they were on 'em. Stripers were nowhere to be found when we went but recent reports look more promising. Good luck!

Wayne is in the SJ today for gill netting. Wait till he's back for a SJ report or if you see the big blue/white work boat headed down river, stop and ask him. Chuck

Evan, thanks for the report, we have fished that area in the past. Sure would like to get into a bunch of stripers and walleyes (who wouldn't ) HA HA.
