Mostly pulled the kids around behind the boat this trip but still got out every morning to chase surface stripers on fly rod. Schools were still spooky and quick to go down, but still caught around 40. Before the sun hits the water had success with singles that were eager and larger than the schools forming around 8:00. It was an even mix of only catching the lead fish, or deeper, larger stragglers after the school had passed. Size was between 10" to 3-4 lbs with the smaller ones making excellent fish tacos. Best flies were small white deceivers, chartreuse/white clousers and gold/silver kreelex. The kids were catching on a fly tied couple feet below a small kastmaster with hook removed using fast reel then pause. The only large(normal) slurping schools were found deep in striper country, AKA, Halls and Bullfrog buoys......Saw very few schools in main channel.
