thanks for your info on the Yum grubs Do you think that a 3" grub is too big for a crappie? Do you troll them with the electric trolling motor also what color bass assassin? did you use. I pay very close attention to what people use to fish Lake Powell. As for my service in Viet Nam my pleasure.. some one had to do it. When I got back from Viet nam I got on the Aurora Colorado Police dept spent 30 years, 5 months and 10 minutes was a Detective in Robbery/Homicide for 13 years! Dennis from Junction

The only time that I'm not trolling for crappie is when I fish Powell, and when I troll for crappie I am always pulling at least one 3in. Yamamoto. They definitely catch fish. I have caught crappie on the 5in Yamamoto grubs.

Have caught lots of Crappie on giant spider jigs. They will eat big stuff, although I’m sure you’d get more bites with the stuff Kevin described. The biggest reason Kevin caught Crappie last week is because he was actually fishing for Crappie last week. Experience and time on the water is going to make the biggest difference.

I wish I would have ever had to worry about limits by type and love reading the exploits of you pros 🎣

I have two cool, short, very nice Steinhauer fishing poles (nice for me as they are upgrades to my previous Toy Story poles) that I have now rigged with 6” fish-looking lures and weights. I had to really work with the pliers to de-hook them and enjoy casting with my toodling grands. They get a kick out of always ‘catching a fish’ when they reel back in.

Cheers to all of you doing far better, and again, thanks for the amazing reports.

It was good to talk to you Kevin. We found the ducks and geese. A lake Powell blast and cast is a thing. We got over 200 stripers this trip and a big mess of ducks. 5 to 7 pound stripers in the channel by red canyon on anchovies, as many as you want to clean are up there for the taking!

Your welcome Dennis, I just got back from another trip Dennis. But I think they will all work, but you know how favorites are. And I use a small minnow with the Yum. And I slow troll, very slow troll with electric. But my antique stuff may be getting upgraded soon. When its windy its really hard to use an electric from the back of boat.

KyKevin this what I bought for my 16ft center console and my 12ft Kayak it can be upgraded to have spotlock and it is 12volt . I can move it between the 2 boats , I use a 100ah Lithium ion battery . Motorguide xi3

Anyone can catch crappie in the spring, even me🤣. You are the master catching them when most of us are clueless when they are not hanging around obvious structure during spawning season. Looks like so much fun! Too bad for me that fall is hunting season!!!

Thanks Dallas
I just need a boat that is a little bigger to haul everything that makes it more comfy 👍
