Fished Good Hope Saturday/Sunday/Monday. We were close to a Grand Slam, just needed a Walleye. The fishing was slow. We had to fish 20+ feet for Largemouth, Smallies, and Crappie, while the Stripers were all caught at the surface in 2-5 feet of water. Most stripers were caught with Walleye Assassin’s. I only caught 2 on the down riggers in about 3 hours. Dropped spoons on graphed schools with no luck. The fish were fat and healthy, just more difficult to catch than normal. We did run to White and Farleys with limited success.
