This unique carp was captured by Eli Evans' son while fish from camp along the shore of Lake Powell. These colors are once in a lifetime. I have never seen one quite this pale yellow.

Okay, it's NOT a pikeminnow.... Just Googled it, and it doesn't look anything like that. What an interesting carp though!

I saw one that was very light colored in West canyon earlier this year. It looked more white than gold.

Sure that is possible - but I have never seen a goldfish in Lake Powell. They must be eaten quickly after they are released by the owners who no longer want them.

I once caught what I think was a koi near the dam. It was a few years ago, it had black, orange and white on its body.

My wife and I have caught several catfish throughout the years with similar coloring. One or two have beIn a bright orange. Really cool looking fish!
