Reading this makes me fondly remember my younger days and taking a 14 day solo backpack sheep hunt. My wife didn't hear from me till I showed up back at home. We both realized that anything was a possibility, just planned on experience and common sense keeping a person out of trouble.

Now that I am starting my 6th decade of wandering around this planet, I know that I need to be connected and don't do the solo stuff where I am truly out of contact.
