You can fish for free (No fishing license) on Saturday at Lake Powell. If you have thought about fishing but just have not done it yet, this is a great opportunity. Read the fish reports. Choose which type of fish you want to catch and give it a try. Shore fishing works for smallmouth bass, bluegill, and catfish. You can still catch stripers from a boat while bait fishing. If you really want to get "hooked" then go out early in a boat and look for slurping stripers.
