Just got back from the lake last night. Parked the HB in Forgotten canyon and never really fished anywhere else. A couple of observations from the trip is that there a ton of stripers around but most are not visible. We would see an individual splash or two and start fishing that spot and pick up a lot of fish. We never saw a full fledged boil but managed to stay in fish sometimes for an hour or more. Also a lot of stripers were right up against the walls and we could see just small splashes right on the rocks to figure out where the fish were. Stripers were most active during low light times of day. We did most our striper fishing with fly rods when possible but also caught fish on jigs with 3” minnow style plastics in shad colors. Also did fairly well on bass with drop shot rigs in 10’-20’ water.
