Fuel Prices at Bullfrog: $6.25 for ethanol free, $7.12 for Diesel
Primitive launch ramp at Bullfrog works well. The old ramp by exec services is out of the water.
10/1 - Started at island across from Moki, couple small stripers, fished little cuts and chunk rock to 7 mile. Lots of smallmouth mainly throwing 3" silver swimbaits, a few on tubes. Not much action in 7 mile. Hopped our way back south trolling every now and then at random spots, caught a few stripers each stop. 31 fish for day.
10/2 - Started at the south end of Rincon. Swimbaits and tubes, caught about 50 smallmouth (not much size) and a couple bigger largemouth. Lots of hydrilla around the Rincon. Trolled the mouth of Slick Rock picked up half a dozen striper. Fished a little cut north of slick rock caught about 30 striper. Close to a 100 fish day.
10/3 - Started in Stanton and worked our way north again. Caught a variety of fish on swimbaits (Striper, LM, SM, Walley, Catfish). Found a little cut by Cedar that was stacked with fish and shad. Spent the afternoon there doubled up either trolling Berkley Flicker Shad 7's, or casting swimbaits.
Weather was perfect! Campground at Bullfrog is in great shape. Lots of kit foxes running around.
Watch out for floating debris (Logs, sticks, matted vegetation). Think the runoff had the fish in a funk on Thursday, but then they started turning on! Fish size this year is off a bit from normal, but there are some big uns still lurking about. Lots of small walleye in lake.
