Oh, I am smiling on the inside. However, there is a reason that I have a clinched jaw. It was at 0630 in the morning, the coffee had kicked in and I was just about to enjoy the wonderful head on my beautiful boat. The best part is that my wife was completely naked when she took that picture. She was sound asleep when I started yelling for her to come help boat the fish. I have a great 1st mate along with a great boat.

I used to be able to catch and release 14-16 in smallies all afternoon at the water hazard buoy in the middle of sheep creek bay. It has been a couple of years, since I have pulled a bass from there.
 
I have fished a lot of lakes that were really good for several years, but Powell has been pretty hard to beat for the long haul. And for a variety of species and good healthy fish😊
When Shad numbers are down, Stripers seam to get hurt the most. All other species stay pretty healthy.
