I finally picked up the new boat and I am still doing a happy dance. I absolutely love it and I am overwhelmed with new stuff to learn about sailing a big boat. We tested it out on Lake Washington before hauling it back. Top end is 52 mph, but it is propped for 6000 ft. Now this drought needs to end so I can stick this boat on the lake, I bought it for.

They are having to give money back and cancelling preorders to some very angry customers. They also said no repowers units available until 2024. So if you are looking at getting a new boat, don’t sell your old one until your new one is in.
Nice looking boat. Congratulations

So now you have to think of a name,

any ideas ?
I have been trying to find something original that would not cause me any issues with the boats AIS system. I heard a CG cutter hail a boat while we were on lake Union in Seattle called “sloppy seconds.” I immediately saw how that could spawn several question from my six year old daughter, as she gets older. So, I have been searching for something cheeky, but not raunchy.
Then this boat is a compromise between the wife and I. She wants launch once and be able to stay on the water for several days and I am an absolute **** show thanks to my tbi. So, she wanted a boat with a full head and gally, I demanded one that I could fish from. This boat was the compromise. I am always teasing her with the maxim “what is good for the goose is good for the gander.” She came up with the “WICKED GANDER” for the name of the boat. I am just fine with that as I have the keys to the boat. She has been calling some of the vinyl wrap places and looking at designs. Sorry, for the convoluted explanation, but a couple of people have already asked how we came up with the name.

I really can’t wait to get her on the water at the Flaming Gorge in the next few weeks. Then hopefully Powell as soon as there is more than one ramp opened.
