The regulation does NOT read: "These are the ONLY permitted Baits:" It simply lists baits that ARE permitted where they may not be on other waters - such as dead shad and stripers.

It then lists baits NOT permitted, such as salamanders or live baitfish (shad).

Using nightcrawlers is not illegal. Neither are stink baits. chicken livers and hot dogs are also not listed as not permitted. Gummy worms would also be OK.

If you don't see it listed as a permitted bait, then it's not permitted. Those are the regulations.
You can hardly expect them to make a list of everything that is not permitted ;) That would be endless.
It's in everyone's best interest to keep the lake as clean and pristine as possible.

So if it's not listed on the permitted list it's automatically not permitted, but if it's not listed on the not permitted list is just means they don't want to list everything not permitted?????
