The largest snow storm of the 2019 season occurred yesterday on the shores of Lake Powell. It is still white every where you look this morning. We need lots of runoff and this was a big help in fulfilling that dream. The last picture speaks to that as a huge waterfall pours runoff directly into the Colorado River.

Is that waterfall Honey Draw below the dam?

Yes! That water goes to Lake Mead but we need water in both reservoirs and all the reservoirs upstream as well. I am hoping that Flaming Gorge and others overfill and have to dump the water down to Powell this spring. WG

This cabin is a buddy's place just above my cabin. This was taken this morning and is in the virgin river drainage basin which feeds Lake Mead. There will be a ton of snow from this drainage which should lessen the load on Powell. This area is called Zion View and the most prominent feature is Strawberry Point, a gorgeous view point above Zion National Park. Tis is a 2 story cabin with the porch roof barely visible4070
