Hello,
I have used this forum for research the last 5 years, where to camp, boat ramp info, renting houseboats, etc.
I thought I should give something back.
Just returned (Sept. 8th) from 7 day trip, ramp at Bullfrog was fine, double wide, just right on gradient. large courtesy dock away from ramp. Our group brought a 22 foot surf boat, 2 older master craft ski boats. loaded everything into 3 boats before launching, idled over to Bullfrog, relocation area, Pre-boarded houseboat around 6 pm.
super quiet, only one other group pre- boarding.
Next morning went all the way to Good hope bay, because we like smoother water for skiing. lots of places to park, sandy beach areas, took us 3 hrs in the houseboat. Had great weather, had strong wind only one afternoon, all other days was light breeze the whole time.
Main channel at Good Hope bay was 75 feet deep.
We paid for the " lake genius " ap. it was very helpful on WHERE NOT TO GO.
I highly recommend paying the $19.00 or whatever it was, in the menu , it will show lake depth contour lines with current water level highlighted in red.
Definitely put us at ease when finding a place to beach/camp and how far to be from shore when skiing.

Monday evening we went back to bullfrog. 3 1/2 hrs into the wind. spent the night at the marina, loaded boats Tuesday morning .
We were back at ramp before 9 am. made for a quick get-away .

Probably will try again in 2028. Its a 10+ hr drive for us, every other year seems to be on everyones mind as a good plan.
