Copied this from your post above...guess I should have read more clearly. You answered my question for my predicted lake level 3604 on 8/14.

Above 3605, the rest of the canyon opens up to more beach opportunities. A small boat may be able to get through above 3603.

JFR, help me with this one. I'm going with family on 8/14 and we want to hike the narrows at the end of 50-Mile. I figure the lake will drop 5 feet in the next 4 weeks. Do you concur? So if we all get out and push the boat with outboard motor raised, do you think we can clear that sandbar on the meander around Gregory at lake level 3604? Adding 6 feet of water to the google image at you provided from 2013 at lake level 3598 seems hopeful.
I think your guess of dropping 5 feet in the next 4 weeks is reasonable, might even be slightly less of a drop than that. Right now the rate is 1.5 feet every two weeks, but that will speed up a bit later in the summer. But yes, you'll make it at 3604, and would probably make it through as low as 3601 or so. Here's some photos I took at that spot in June 2019 when it was at 3603! We took that NPS boat (GRIT trip) through there at that level. If you stay to the right, close to the wall, it's still pretty deep (at least 3 feet or more on that side), and the inlet is wide enough for any small boat. I walked it just to make sure.

FYI--at 3603, it's about a mile +/- from the navigable end of the canyon to the best narrows in 50-mile... there's a tight little s-turn toward the navigable end about 2.2 miles in from the Escalante (a left then a right) that may or may not be passable to your boat, depending on depth and the size of your boat (the NPS boat didn't make it)...if you're lucky you might be able to go another 500-1000 feet past that spot before it's too shallow and have to walk...

My goodness you're a fount of knowledge and Johnny on the spot. Thank you for info and beautiful pictures.

Another question: I believe the so-called Devils Potty is in main channel right (heading downstream) just below Annies but before Iceberg. I've never seen it in person, but I have teenage grandsons who want to jump through it. (OK I know we're not supposed to cliff jump). I think it's not exposed until down near lake level 3580. What info do you have on this feature?

It isn't that far south. It is pretty close to Lake Canyon.

When we were there a month ago devils potty was not open at the bottom, the lake was higher than the opening. People were swimming from the top and I did not see anyone dive and come out in the open water but the lake level has come down since then and you may can see the whole thing from a boat.

I'm sure it was ment as a compliment. You are definitely a wealth of knowledge and insight to all of us on this site. Thanks just doesn't say enough 🙂 yes you are an animal. Thanks 😊
Thanks all, I appreciate the kudos! I recognize a compliment when I see it... :) Glad to help! And just for the record, I don’t know the first thing about fishing... so I’m learning a lot here too!
