Fished Sunday and again yesterday. Last week found a huge school of stripers in Warm Creek but they didn’t bite during the full moon. Went back Sunday and started the search. The boils started. My friend and I caught about 20 to start. There was a lull and picked away at a walleye on a Ned and 5lb cat on chovies In the afternoon started trolling hoping to find them. Boils came up in front of us and we had an epic topwater bite for a couple hours. Once the cooler was stuffed we started releasing them, probably landing over 50.
Took the wife and daughter back yesterday. Found the school again in Warm Creek. Probably got a dozen or so on top. The boils were a bit more sparse but the spoons were money. After stuffing the cooler again we headed back at 1:00. We were a mile from State line with the boat planed and the water around us went crazy. No idea how many we caught on poppers and walking baits. Even had a double on two hookup baita rigged with triple swivel. The fish in Warm Creek were more healthy and fought hard. Little mire skinny around Wahweap but just bit anything we threw at them and didn’t seem worried about the boat. I did a little video for our tackle shop. Here's the link:
