Emergency Tow Number?

It would be the executive services office. I’m not sure if they text. And right now you can’t really even count on phone service as the marinas are moving. Captain Titus has said email is best. So your best bet (outside of self rescue) is probably to contact a friend and have them try to reach out.

Hey all, is there a number to text or call if a person needs an emergency tow on the North end? i have a Zoleo satellite texting device and thought it would be good if i was to need a tow I had a number to reach out to rather than hitting the SOS button! Thanks in advance..
Aramark is probably your best option on the water. There’s links for all the marinas on the webpage linked above.IMG_1886.jpegIMG_1887.jpegIMG_1889.jpegIMG_1888.jpegIf you need a vehicle retrieved on the north end, Rabbitbrush Repair, Storage, and Off-Road Rescue is who you want to call. @Dave I. will get you fixed right up. He might even have better advice for a tow on the water.

I belong to BoatUS which includes towing, BUT I could not get anyone to tow us. My boy called from a land line after I texted him on our InReach and was told they didn’t cover Powell? We towed the down boat a couple years ago to Wahweep from the SJ. When I got home I called to cancel my subscription and was told they do cover Lake Powell but I have yet to find anyone who represents them. My best advice is count on yourself or have an INReach or some other device that will save your bacon. We have had our share of issues over 50 years but so far no one has ever baled me out, we got ourselves back and out of trouble, be prepared!

Edit: we were told they would come from Wahweep a couple years ago when we had trouble, in twelve hours and it was around $1500 to tow from the SJ back to Wahweep. They did not honor BoatUS. My family would get there quicker and much less money (nothing) coming from 5 hours away plus boat time. Be prepared to help yourself if you go far away from the marinas, that’s where the croc’s are!

I was told that BoatUS would reimburse a tow at Powell but they don’t contract with Executive Services.

I’m disappointed to hear your experience.

Someone at one time suggested if ever in need of a tow there to go rent one of the blue tops (or black tops now I guess) and tow yourself. But you’d need someone to help with that as well.

Powell trips early and late in the year are the only reason I have a kicker on my boat. Gives me the ability to hopefully self rescue. It would be a long trip back to bullfrog from Escalante or GHB at 5 MPH but you would get there.

Myself and a buddy both have BoatUS memberships and we’ve both been towed once over the years. It’s well worth the small fee and the cost is unbelievably low.
