I got here Sunday night. Would like running into you sometime. Knocked 60ish yesterday in Hall’s trolling LC Staycee SP ghosts and spooning. I wish they would’ve been 2-2.5lbers lol as that’s my favorite eating size but they were the biggest on average I’ve ever caught. FYI people fish cleaning station are closed.

All ways good to get them close. And likewise on meeting you. How deep of water were you trolling in Halls? There are so many great Striper hot spots when the Shad are doing good, I need to go back to Crappie fishing, if they only faught like Striper😊

They don't look like my wifes hands😁. She told me they were like sandpaper😂.
You never get use to sore hands though. I started using a rag after a severe case of Striper thumb years ago😊.
I started bringing baby lotion. My first trip with great fishing I was in such pain after 3 days with no rag and no lotion that my hands burned tremendously when I applied lotion! Never again!

Shout out to KYKEVIN. Ran into you near Dungees last week. Great to meet you and thanks for the assasins. It made our trip. Only my second time down but that is going to change. My little boys are now in their 40's so they help the old man out. What a trip. We watched you and learned a lot about. Once we got your advise we slayed them. Heading back to Bullfrog in the dark at 50 mph was intense. We will be seeing you on the lake again. We caught some trolling a silver shad rap, but I rather catch them on slack line jigging. The strike is the pulse pounder. Good luck everyone.

Your welcome
Hope I got your name even close😂
All ways makes my trip, if I can help some one else have a great one.

My brother-in-law was there 17th-21st with his son and daughter in a black Lund. He reported the same thing. He had great results one day with spoons by the islands and then had better results the rest of the trip trolling up by the horn. He said the fish were even bigger up by the horn but catch rates were about the same as the islands. He ended up with around 200#’s of fillets.

I bought one of those too; not cheap like the plastic ones and mine has an accurate scale too. Incredible quality. I took a lot of grief from my brothers who scoffed at paying that much for a fish gripper, but funny, they both insist on using me sharing it with them. Once it locks on to the bottom lip of the fish it won't slip off until you release it. I've also used it dozens of times to bleed out Catfish. I cut the tail off and tether the cord of lip gripper on an anchor lock on deck and hang the gripper and fish over the side. It works great.

We did pretty good in Lake. Good to meet you, we all joked about following you up north, and going to striper fishing school. Sounds like we are going to squeeze in a quick trip this weekend and try and find them up at Dungees’ Islands. Hopefully they are still around. Sounds like you had a great trip.
Did you make it back the next weekend? I haven’t seen any reports since the 21st and it turned cold after that along with the full moon.

I was down at Bullfrog will write a report later , think i say him (pryor) coming back into Bullfrog on Monday morning . It was Slow and a lot of 6" Stripers .

We did make it up to the islands, and camped in Red Canyon. We were there two and a half days, boated 52 striper, almost all of them realling assassins in 27 feet of water. All of them were nice bass, a handful over five pounds. The weather was a bit cold, but we had a good fire, and good times. Giant catfish. I’ll post a more detailed report, and some pictures soon.
