We found an Australian Cattle Dog at Rainbow Bridge dock on 4/5/25. Skin and bones. No collar. Nails worn to the quick. Super weak. Unable to send a picture right now. If you lost this dog, text 520-668-3260 and I'll send you a picture of her. We rescued her. Sweet dog.
Sounds like you have a new member of the family! It’s entirely possible the dog wandered there overland, and came from the Rez not the lake.

Yes she is for now (unless someone calls),you could be right, I have seen a few Australians on the "rezes" thinking bout naming her Rez ha!!,we consider her a lucky find. Almost didn't come on Fri,flying WX was a little iffy ,but we are glad we did.Always a good day on LP!!!

I’ve knocked about the Rez on dirt bikes for the last 20 years. You stop for a break on a ridge in what you think is the deep back of beyond, and maybe 50% of the time within 10 minutes a dog or two will come out of the bushes to mooch and pee on your tires. There are A LOT of dogs out there, and it got much worse during Covid when their spay and neuter program collapsed. We support High Country Humane on 89 north of Flag. Most of the dogs come from the Rez. We have nine between four households, all great dogs, if decidedly watchful. 25 pounds to 110 pounds, mostly black and tan, but we have two with golden coats (my Oakley is up above in this thread). Fair amount of genetic variation out there.
