Years ago my dad and Mom were fishing Yuba when Dad noticed water above his floor boards in his StarCraft ( I think) Mom was very anxious they put on life jackets, dad had bilge pump running and he plowed back to the ramp and beached the boat. With help from a few other bystanders they were able to get the boat back on trailer with many gallons of water onboard! Usually that would have ended the trip. Loved dad (he passed last year at 95) but he wanted everything to be perfect or he would cancel too windy too calm too cold too warm. So a sinking boat should have ended the day but, he and mom were doing great on the walleye but didn’t have their limits. So with bailing it, pulling plug he got the water draining and he searched for the problem. It turned out one of the hoses/pipes feeding Live-well had cracked, usually they are just above waterline and water is contained in live well, but somehow water came in the out flow but since pipe/connection was cracked it flowed into boat instead of live-well and almost sunk the boat.
Dad found a piece of wood whittled it to fit the outflow hole pounded in tight, went back out and finished catching their limit!
amazed me he did that, but that’s what great walleye fishing will do to a guy.
After the trip fixed all the pipes and checked all connections and used that boat for years without issue. So it’s a Good idea to check all pipes hoses and outlets before going out to be sure all is in working order to avoid problems on the water!

correct. It is indeed the livewell overflow. It works and doesn't leak
