I dont know these guys but I dont see anything suspicious.

I am sure someone saw the steering wheel cover and thought it would be funny to put it on during the recovery.

the $30K in his bag is nothing that odd and he recovered it the day it sank so why make that up? If I had $30K cash with me on a trip it would stay with me.

for sure the boat got damage as they dragged it to the beach. Dave was clearly not happy about that part of the plan and was trying to come up with a way to not damage it more. He seemed sincere in his concern.

I have swam with a small box anchor many times. There are plenty of light weight anchors.

I think the internet has broken many of you and you dont trust anyone. Which I kind of agree with. But I dont see anything wrong with this. Fun and interesting video to watch. Also the video is not even on Daves channel. Pretty sure if this was a stunt he would get all the credit on his channel first.

Agree with your assessment of the video.

Just the same old closed minded drama queen's.

I was at lake while it happened-- this is what I saw --
1. big landing craft type boat seen on video was parked behind one of the house boats along with pontoon boat seen in video 2 Thursdays ago
2. Saw the "crew" including one of the stars ( sorry don't watch, but did recognize) coming from parking lot Friday morning with lots of scuba tanks, and camera crew
3. saw the big landing craft boat towing a wake boat about 5 pm Friday afternoon past Bullfrog slips toward exec service ramp
4. saw wake boat and big truck at top of ramp about 40 minutes later---

so, in the end, it did happen
When exactly did this recover happen? I was just there May 1 - 7

They both lost their licenses and Luke is going to be removed from the BOD of the USPA.... He blatantly defied the denial of approval by the FAA....

He popped up an explanation video. It is much more believable that he sunk the boat unintentionally after watching. He clarified a couple points about swimming with anchor line and not the anchor, the steering wheel cover was a joke, he screwed up on reconnecting his bilge pump, resulting in it not evacuating the bilge, and he had the stupid flip top plug. I still don't know why a company that sells a boat for $400k relies on a friction plug rather than a threaded plug. Also, I would prefer to have the batteries up away from the engine compartment in a dry area like my Moomba has rather than a spot that requires you to pull hoses from your bilge pump to change batteries. Seems more like a giant misadventure though rather than doing something devious. I still wish they would not be in the business of defeating emissions controls though.
