Did anyone else notice water-data.com down?

I check the lakepowell.water-data.com page regularly and noticed this morning that the dns points to a generic here are some links page. It looks like their DNS changed, I checked the domain name registration and it looks like it hasn't changed recently. Anyway if anyone has contact with those guys you should let them know it is down.

It was down. I'm thinking there is an 04/01 thing coming. Would have been epoch to see it spoofed.

I hope so. I am an IT guy and this is typical when you forget to pay the domain registration, but looked into it and it is registered through the end of the year but the authoritative DNS servers changed this morning. Hack or maybe they are making a change...

Sorry all, we (my hosting company and I) are not really sure what is going on with my sites (all of my sites are impacted). They are looking into it and the pages do work correctly from time to time but not often.

Should be working better now. The USBR's site is down and my pages will check for new data if the data is not up-to-date. This was creating thousands of processes to check the USBRs site and cascading failures while trying to update the missing data.

I commented out those requests and we should be doing better now.

I have been running the water-data.com sites for over 25 years and I have never seen a prolonged outage the USBR's (government run, of course) website...

Yesterday's issues were with my code. They have been corrected and all should be working fine now...
