Dangling Rope or Antelope?

Going to take the houseboat up to Last Chance in a few weeks. Just wondering what will be the closer marina if we need a bag of ice or some gas. Up river to Dangling Rope or down back to Antelope?

Antelope Point Marina is at MM8, the mouth of Last Chance is at MM28, the mouth of Dangling Rope is at MM40.

So, it's 20 miles back to APM or 12 miles upriver to Dangling Rope from Last Chance. Dangling Rope is the winner ;-)

I don't know what it is about the ice cream at Powell, but it is always better than anywhere else. I had the joy of introducing ice cream to two of my Grandbabies at Powell, much earlier than their mothers wished, but that is what Grandfathers do...right?
