Coyote gulch, Escalante by boat

someone knows how close I can get to coyote gulch in Escalante river by boat.
My goal is hike to Jacob Hamlin arch and how far is this hike?

It'd be about 5 miles one way - the worst part will be getting past the debris field

Thank you. I guess 5 miles to the mouth of the canyon. Do you now how far to Jacob Hamlin arch from the mouth of the canyon?

6 or so miles to the arch, there is a boulder field .4 miles up from confluence that you have to hike around, description here

Tavo, you planning to do this 20 + mile hike in a day?

It will depends of my wife, she is not sure about that. I would like to camp at the arch, but I am not sure to live the boat to long alone

Looks like a great hike , It might be better in the fall or spring when it was a little cooler .

Pages 21 and 22 of the NPS link below covers Coyote Gulch. According the start of the link it states day hikes do not require a back country permit, but if planning to be overnight it requires a back country permit. Some good information on this and other hikes off the Escalante/Hole-in-the-Rock road.
