Changing the treble hooks to a single hook on spoons

I know that I read before that some people put single hooks on there spoons so they can unhook quicker and get back into the water. I would like to know which type and size hook works the best for those who do. Thanks in advance

I went with Owner single replacement hooks. On my bigger lures I went with 3/0. It was odd at first having repeated strikes in boils without good hookups, and boated rate went down maybe 30%. On the other hand, no human blood in the boat after a hundred fish. Works for me.

I think I could live with a lower catch rate if I were still pulling in a 100 a day. I like the idea of less trebles in my hands, especially when the bite is on and the adrenaline starts following. Thanks

I've had some good days with a short arm spinnerbait
