Camping at Stanton

Headed out to Powell for our spring trip this Friday - Tuesday. Going to Stanton for the 1st time.

Planning to bring my truck with a slide-in camper. Thinking I’ll launch the boat right away, hopefully put it in a slip for a couple of hours (if there are still slips, I called Titus but haven’t heard back). Drop the trailer in the parking lot and then head over by truck to Stanton to try and find a spot to drop the camper on the waters edge. My buddy will drive me back and then I’ll take the boat and he will take the truck back to the site. Logistics are always fun!

Since I’ve never camped at Stanton or driven down that road I’m a little apprehensive about finding a spot that will work.
Took a look at the area on OnX, seems like there are lots of options when the water is higher. But I have no clue how tough it is or how much further it will be to get out to the water or if there will be any close access from the camper to the water.

Any advice on this would be super helpful and so appreciated. Has anyone been camping on Stanton this year?

I’ll jump on and give a report both on fishing and Stanton after the trip. Really looking forward to getting out there.

If anyone is going to be out this weekend/early part of next week, I’m in a Red and Black Ranger 621 Fisherman. Our camp will hopefully be somewhere near the water (preferably in a protected cove for the boat), the camper is a white Northern Light on a Dark Blue F350.

Come on by if you see us. Always nice to meet other Wordlings.

Thank you in advice
