Where do you clean your fish? Halls cleaning station is closed for the winter. my last trip I had to clean fish in the trailer.

I Stack two cooler's, and I have a cutting board that never leave's the boat, I take two five gallon bucket's, I put 10 fish at a time in one, and water in the other to put the fillet's in and wash, and I just repeat Then put them on ice until I get home and finish them. I use to use the cleaning station, but it was just faster staying on the water and doing it when your camping. In the winter I don't worry as much about them.I put ice in them this last trip, and it froze in a block the first night. You can get away with a lot less ice right now.

I bring a lot of them home and I have a big cutting board And I do them on the counter, I had deep sink's put in just for cleaning fish and my wife try's not to say to much about the scale's that get away from me 😁 because she love's to eat the fish 👍.

I too keep a board on the boat. First off I like to bleed all the fish as I put them in the live well. (way less mess). Then when fishing is slow I’ll open the live well and turn on the live well pump. after placing my fillet board across one side of the live well I start filleting, washing the fillets in the incoming water, it’s also handy for washing the board every few fish, also my hands and the 12 volt knife that I use. I then put them in ziplock bags and onto the ice.
the best part is that when you get to camp or the ramp you don’t have the job still facing you.

Never liked cleaning fish in my bassboat. No matter how much I try, it always makes a mess on my carpet. Did you catch any walleye?

I made a filet board that fits in my rod holder. You can buy them. I like to make stuff. I'm always reinventing the wheel. Its just how I'm wired. The filet board is the right height so I don't have to stoop over to filet. Then I bought a cheap inverter that hooks to the boat battery. I use an 110 volt electric filet knife. The board slopes over the lake slightly so everything drips overboard. Yes, I had a cordless filet knife. it lasted 1 year. The battery was almost as much as a new knife, so I went this route. So far its worked great for me. Dworwood has a wash down hose on his boat. That makes it even better. Id rather do everything in my boat than at the cleaning station. Its just easier and faster IMHO. If you bleed the fish when you catch them, there's hardly any mess when you filet them.

I don't have to worry about cleaning as many fish as you do Kevin :ROFLMAO: I should have said my back doesn't hurt as bad. P. S. my boats only a 16 ft. Stacking coolers is great. I did it for years. Whatever it takes to get the job done. Right?

I was just thinking, when I had my Striper coffin full, it is 300+ lbs and my 50 Honda take's a liittle longer to plane out :) THese guy's are starting to measure fish by the lb, I had well over 500 lbs this trip. I measured and weighed a bunch of these fish and the biggest was 25" and weighed 5lb even. And I weighed a lot of 22" fish that were 4lbs and a lot of 3 1/2 lb fish. In all reality I had closer to 600 lbs of fish, they would average 2 1/2 lbs easy.
I had forgot about you having a smaller boat to, but I love the gas mileage with my boat, and I use a lot smaller boat then it, When it's called for :)

This is the fillet set up we use. The large fillet table from Fish Fighter products. Made in Idaho. I have it mounted on the Lund Sport Trac system which makes it removable and it stores in the floor compartment.

That’s perfect thanks!
I've figured out the most important part is catching them, and then worry about how your going to clean them :) And I Just ate a bunch of fried Striper, and it was awesome.
KYKevin, you mentioned you did some night fishing, did you use bait or your assassin’s?

I've never caught Striper's from the dock on the Assassin's, only on Chovy's. But I've caught a lot of fish on the dock's and on Chovy's. If you want to spend the time night fishing, you can catch a freezer full from the dock's. But I'ts much more challenging to catch them in the day time on a lure, and sleep at night like a normal person 😁 I'm not a normal person though ;)
I used to fish all day, and then at night until they quit biting, but time's have changed, it's not so important now, as it use to be. I like to think I'm getting smarter, whether I am or not 😁 Actually I'm just getting older :p

I totally understand that!! I don't even get up early when we are on the lake anymore. I can enjoy the lake later in the day. :)
