Thanks so much for the information and especially the pics. We are heading down on Friday, doing some boat work and cleanup on Saturday, and pulling our boats off the lake on Sunday morning. We've been worried about the spur but it looks like everyone is doing just fine on it. Thanks again.

I believe the more accepted term is a Sea strainer. And I feel like they may be somewhat unique to inboards. None of my stern drives or outboards have had them.

For whatever reason, Nautique seems more prone to clogging as my buddy has that issue with his. I dump mine every time I leave Powell and have never had any debris in mine (although as bad as the water is right now, I could see more potential for issues).

I had to add one to my Mastercraft
