Bullfrog NPS Campground

I stayed at the Bullfrog campground last June. I was almost the only person there. Rarely a vehicle passed by. The post next to the road said RESERVED, but there was nobody else in the campground, so I turned the sign around to where it said AVAILABLE and took it. I figured the NPS rangers were too busy cooling their heels to take the time to flip the signs to the correct sides. Of all the sites it had the best shade. And it was near the restroom which was decently clean. Not bad.

Armark now runs the campground that you are talking about. There’s a Kiosk at the entrance that actually works and takes both cash and credit cards and will recognize your Senior Pass discount. The new senior pass price is $22.00 per night. The Aramark campground guy is Chuck and checks for people who don’t pay every day about 2:00 P.M. (check out time) The price went up $9:00 per night when Aramark took over. Thanks NPS. Chuck is also in charge of having the signage at each campsite is currently, available or reserved. You can’t “reserve” any sites in that campground. If it says “reserved” and there isn’t any personal property in it, and there isn’t a receipt on the site post, it’s open. The kiosk issues a “generic” permit, not site specific, like site “A12”. Sq

if they could just add electricity, it would be so great,
I stayed there many times in my motorhome and have to run the generator to 10 PM until quiet time,
The sites are really nice, level concrete and great views of the lake.
And very low cost,

I've also stayed at the ARMARK RV campground many times and it is a little funky and dirty and the sites are not level. but they have power and water.

I don't need water, I don't need sewer , just electricity,

Please park service, wire in some power.

Then everybody would show up with stupid StarLink and you would not be able to get a space.

A reliable source told me that there is a plan submitted on the superintendents desk laying out how they should add power to that campground and scrap the RV park. And it’s been sitting on their desk for over 10 years.

I’m not a fan of the RV Park but I also can’t imagine brining in an RV and not being able to run the air conditioning. One is almost stuck using the RV park for that reason.

We have stayed there often, Rv and camping. Great campground,, yes if they only would have electricity!
