Nice work! What method were you deploying on the main lake points? Bait fishing, flipping, trolling? I'm heading down on Thursday for several days and plan to target stripers as well. thanks!

Rapala deep down husky jerk on the troll for stripers. 3.5" bass pro go to swim minnow sunfish color casting, caught SMB LMB Walleye and Crappie on them.. @Brandon A. @Dennis Jarvis The photo up there me holding stripers, bouy 99, the point in the photo between the fish was very good early am.

Thanks for the update. When you said "main lake points" I assumed anchovies.

Agreed, but I do like fighting a fish with no additional pull from a boat moving, or flashers, dodgers, large billed lures, etc. Anchovies have their place, stinky hands and all

Here is a trick for the anchovies, buy a small cooler at a garage sale for a dollar. put the anchovies wrapped in newspaper in the cooler on ice. Put the little cooler in your big cooler. After about 3 days when the cooler starts to stink throw the whole cooler in the trash. Dennis j from Junction

Dennis you talk like a man who knows this method well from years of experience. Or better yet, leave the anchovies wrapped it the plastic they came in, put them in the houseboat freezer and remember they are still there after you get home (relaying this method from a friend).

My wife loves the anchovies but she won’t bait her hook with them. We finally compromised on just one bag. Catch fish with them and if they’re working I’ll have plenty of striper meat to use for bait. If they’re not working then time to feed the crawdads with them!

In recent years, I have even seen the bullfrog resident DUCKS eating the anchovies before they sink?? Crazy carnivorous animals!

Many years ago we caught a bunch of fish in Canada. They quik froze them. We took an empty cooler. put a layer of newspaper on the bottom. We then wrapped every frozen filet in newspaper.,put one layer of fish then one layer of newspaper then one layer of fish untill we got to the top. last layer newspaper. closed the top and duct tape it closed note: no ice or dry ice. it took us 3 days to drive home all of the fish were still frozen solid!!
