I've been told by Rangers that the National Park boundary is 1/4 mile above the high water line. Same thing with the rivers in Alaska that run through native lands only there if you don't pay to set up camp your camp will be "in shreds" when you return after fishing or hunting. Chuck

That's only accurate along the southern border of the lake from the dam to the San Juan since those are tribal properties. The remainder of the lake has boundaries defined by statue that are significantly larger and even border with Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, and Grand Staircase-Escalante.

I was told to just stay away from the main structures like ramps and the Hobie Cat . I never did get a ticket , they would just tell me to move . And this was only at Bullfrog .
