Father/Sons trip May 8-11. Awesome fishing , good weather for the most part . Water temps 64-66. Striper fishing was good almost everywhere we tried . Wore the boys out catching and filleting fish. Best spots were Moki Wall, mouth of Halls, Forgotten. Some stained water the farther north from moki you went but inside the canyons good water clarity. We found stripers at the mouth and in the back of every canyon we looked in . Throw the chum and they will come . Several canyons had large groups of small 6-10 inch stripers towards the back of the canyon. Had good luck for smallies , a few large mouth and various other species on every rock slide we fished . Using anchovies for the stripers , 1/4 oz curly tail jigs for the rest . Great time to be fishing lake Powell !
