Stayed in the Bullfrog camp ground loop A after getting in at 1am Friday night and making a quick trip. Its nice to have power in the sites now to charge batteries each night. Bathrooms were clean and it was quiet. First day fished south to marker 75. Fishing was best just north of the Rincon. Fished north to marker 110 on sunday. Fishing was good up north as well. Fished around Halls Monday, it was actually the best fishing all weekend! The water temp was between 67-69 degrees every where I went. Water was clearest around the Rincon and light stain up north. Its good to see the water getting into the new vegetation/ cover. Should help the bait making for good fishing next season. I saw a lot of surface action that was mainly smallmouth smashing bait schools on the surface! That being said I pretty much threw top water all day every day! Black buzz bait, shad spook, and a white whopper plopper. Other baits that we threw were 4" shad swim baits, gold cast masters, and bluegill 1/4 oz spinner bait with grub. The bigger fish were defiantly skinnier than they should have been. Plenty of 2 pounders. Good fishing all around and water still refreshing for swimming! Hope to be back soon.
Cheers til the next time!
