Bowfishing

We are headed out on the water with our bows to harvest some carp. Can people weigh in as to where the heavy carp population are being seen right now?
I have heard that the spawn is on around Bullfrog, but are they surfacing and in pods down towards Page and the state line?

Back of any canyon. There were the biggest sized groups I’ve ever seen in Ticaboo in March.

Thanks! From our experience on LP, they sometimes congregate more on one side of the main channel than the other. Looking for feedback on what people have observed in the last 2-4 weeks.

Last summer there were a ton in the channel just north of the San Juan on the east side.

I am curious if all the fishing is done with archery equipment or if you’ve ever used one of these?

We've never used those. We have custom archery bows made for us, specifically for this type of fishing. Slightly different than a compound bow.
