Good Hope Bay was good fishing. (August 12-19) The most exciting time was having a boil come up and surround my Kayak for about 15 minutes. During the rest of the week's time, I only saw a couple of boils happen. The little coves are full of shad and the smallmouth are all over them. I used a plastic shad on a 1/4 oz jig head and found plenty of them.
The stripers were holding down around 40-60 feet in 80-90 feet of water. 70 feet, not so much, over a hundred, not so much. Anchovies on a drifting jig head worked best for me.
