Bluegill are a tasty fish and catching them gets pretty easy now. Here is a good report from luv2fish:
We were catching them at every rock pile there was. We went from bullfrog past Halls and hit some rock piles and were catching them. Then we went to monique canyon. There are lots of Rock Piles there. Each rock pile held fish.
We were just using kastmasters tipped with a little piece of night crawler, vertical jigging.
The Small Mouth loved that technique also, we got some really nice sized ones.
What surprised me was how big the the bluegill were.
To me the bluegill are lots better eating than the stripers.
Next trip I make in June I will first focus on the bluegill then get after the stripers.
