No I did not try , I dont think I could of made it up that hill . I had a e-bike with me and rode around to find a way out around that hill. In the video of it starts right at my tent , from my trip with Last Wild Human in March.

One more thing worth mentioning is to stay on any two track that has already been driven on in the lake bed. There are a lot of soft spots that look firm but will eat your vehicle!!
 
What you call "cobble hill", I called the "sand hill" that drops down to water level in Red Canyon. I don't think my HD2500 P/U would have made it back up either, but I didn't try. "Pucker Hill" on your map, I called it "cobblestone hill" as the whole road/trail is 2" to 3" river rock which is sloped to the downhill draw. That is the worst part of the whole road in. Sq

The cobble I am referring to is the hill that has the loose off camber +/- 6" loose river rock that cuts across the hill side on I think the northside of the hill and there is also a line straight over the top. Then it drops into red from there. If you stat left there are a couple routes that lead to the two track in the lake bed. It is where Rabbitbrush gets out the first time and looks a couple of times when he first heads out of red. Hope this helps

Is that the one I labeled "cobble"? We usually go running out of Red Canyon (from the waters edge) when we are camped at GHB in the boat. We have run a lot of the roads going around the area, up past where they start grading. The "cobble" hill always looks pretty interesting to drive on! As you are heading toward the lake, it cuts around the side of a steep hill and is all 6"-8" cobble river rock. We have also driven down and over the "pucker" hill, it is quite interesting when you come over the top! We commented that I would not want to be hauling a trailer, but we watched people do it and make it OK.....
