Mine is just like Bobco's.

It get's in the way when fishing -- whether casting or trolling. It's super nice to have in the summer when it's hot. But I remove it from the boat when we do our October trips. Sure, it lays flat on the rear casting deck -- but creates a potential tripping hazard during those chaotic October boils where the anglers are losing their minds running from one end of the boat to the other like chickens with their heads cut off.
Your view is exactly what we were thinking. We are not spring chickens anymore and any tripping hazard in a boat would not be a good thing. At times we both have to laugh at ourselves trying to net a fish at the boat. Bow to stern, port to starboard we go! We do have amateur hour trying to land a fish at times, glad no one is videoing!😂😂😂
It’s humorous to say “Its Huge” on initial bite and have your wife toss her pole down, locate net, hop/skip/jump to bow only to net a 1 lb smallie. Geezzzz. Love the Happy Dayz at Powell.
