Attach photo to avatar

Hi - I got a new iMac and cannot get a picture to my avatar from iPhoto. I can do it on a PC.

I'm not sure if its an iMac thing or the new board software.

The trouble is often with file size and/or resolution. Sometimes it has to do with file type. Macs often have a different (longer) extension than PCs - even for the same type of file (.jpeg instead of .jpg). Can you describe what you're doing? And any errors that you see?

I don't see any errors, it's more like I can't choose a picture to upload, although they are all there. I'll play around again and also try the iPad.
