Anyone gone to Warm Creek recently?

It’s been a while since I’ve spent much time in Warm Creek, and I’m curious what it’s like at the current water level and whether it would be a good houseboat camp

• How much usable bay is there now?
• Are there a lot of shallow bars extending out into the bay that make boating or watersports difficult? (seems like I had problems w that in the past)
• Are there still decent coves or areas where you can get some protection from boat wakes and wind?
• How busy is it this time of year compared to Padre?

There are plenty of good houseboat locations and useable water but also lots of shallow areas. And some aren't where you would assume. I wouldn't feel comfortable playing around there without a depth map (either app or fish finder).

It's not very busy but Padre traffic will also be shrinking.

For what it's worth, Padre Bay area was packed last wk. Lots of surfboats. Don't expect it to slow down till after Labor Day.

I know last year, we stayed just on the other side of where the cut is/was, it was good and quiet as well.
