Doc, we fished Wahweap for smallmouths, was a beautiful day no wind . The fish seemed to be on vacation . We did catch a few , hopefully it will get betterHeaded to Wahweap Wed for a couple of days on the lake before a work day on our houseboat. Any recent info would be appreciated. I'll update how we did after we get back home. Thx.
Did the bass seem to be deep? Curious as to what’s going on with the fish as of lately…… years past, they’ve seem to be really going by now!!??Doc, we fished Wahweap for smallmouths, was a beautiful day no wind . The fish seemed to be on vacation . We did catch a few , hopefully it will get better
I plan on launching at Stateline Monday morning and may stay on the lake a full 7 days. I might go as far north as Bullfrog or come back to Page midweek for gas. Probably spend most of my time fishing between mile markers 25 and 70. I'll be in a Nitro Z19 bass boat that is maroon and white with 2 power poles. I didn't find any recent boat pictures in my phone but if I do I'll post them. Feel free to say high to me if you see me on the lake. I'll be happy to share striper locations and I'll post on here during the week when I get cell service. I was hoping to find a bunch of bass moving up shallow to spawn but I'm expecting this cold front to have at least some effect on that.Brian, where ya headed? We may be around as well.
My experience last weekend was that there are some LMB in shallow but the SMB are still in 10-20ft. The best seemed to be areas where it was a quick drop to that depth close to shore. In the areas that were more gradual, we didn't find many but when we found spots that dropped off more quickly, the action was good.I plan on launching at Stateline Monday morning and may stay on the lake a full 7 days. Sounds like the water temp is creeping up on optimal temps. Did you hit West Canyon at all?Was out on Friday. Fished up last chance and by face. Was looking for stripers but didn't locate any big schools. Water temp was 63-65. Small mouth are starting to get a little more active but aren't up really shallow yet for the most part. Caught lmb, smb, striper, crappie, and sunfish.
No, we didn't go any further up lake then Last Chance.Sounds like the water temp is creeping up on optimal temps. Did you hit West Canyon at all?
