Annual Boils Trip from Wahweap

Can I just say that buying my Kastmasters at the end of every summer brings joy to my heart! LOL! We are headed back to Wahweap in search of boils, hoping to replicate last years experience, but that will be hard to do (it was epic). We'll put in and run the gauntlet up to midlake (if we have to) in search of those elusive and exciting large boils. I know the South end is always reported as having lower shad levels and less boil activity as the North end...but has anyone seen any action yet down there (more than a slurp)? We still have a couple weeks until we go, so hopefully that will give the Southern shad population time to mature a little more and come out of the canyons to join the fun on the main lake! Thanks guys!

Alright...we are heading to Wahweap tomorrow to fish the evening and Sat morning bite. Anybody have any current locations on some Striper schools in the Southern/Midlake area? Boil sightings? Thanks guys, will report when we get back!

I was told to look for boils in the West and Dove Canyon areas near sunrise. Will be up there tomorrow morning
